This Traditional
Lakeland cottage, built in 1730, was
once part of an Eighteenth century farmhouse
and retains much of its quaint, original
character, including
low ceiling beams (6ft) and sloping
floors!
Now it is part of a quiet, attractive
close, on the very edge of Windermere,
it has its own walled garden, bounded
by fellside and a footpath to Bowness.
The public footpath 100 metres behind
the cottage offers superb views of
lake Windermere, Coniston Old Man,
the Langdales and beyond. (The picture
at the base of the page was taken
from here.)
